Where your mail goes.

Desktop mail — message bodies, attachments, and the search index — lives in local storage on your Mac.

Sync stores the email address of each linked Google account, the OAuth tokens that authorize Gmail access, and metadata (message IDs, labels, cursors). Vithos does not store message bodies or attachments in its cloud database. Logs carry timings and internal IDs, not mail content.

When you explicitly use Vithos API, MCP, AI triage, or Vithy, Workers fetch the needed Gmail content transiently and do not persist message bodies or include them in analytics or logs.

This is the product split: local storage for the inbox you read and search; transient cloud processing only when you turn on API, MCP, AI triage, or Vithy. It is not end-to-end encryption of Gmail — Google already has the mail.
